This project was driven by the homeowner’s dream of creating a spacious, inviting, and comfortable ocean front beach house for their large and growing family. Knowing that our furniture and millwork would be present in every room of the estate, we chose a holistic perspective, carrying Vogue’s design philosophy and finishes throughout the entire home. Our initial inspiration was driven by the graduated louvered doors and shutters, designed by Architect Andrew Kirschner. Playing on that theme, we designed our furniture and millwork to have dimensional, horizontal elements resulting in a light, open-air facade. Don’t let the casual and beachy nature of the design fool you. Behind the shuttered facades and simple soft surfaces lie integrated smart appliances, automated retracting doors, custom floor to ceiling wine coolers, hidden entrance doors, expansive ribbed RGB LED lit ceiling, and motorized television ottoman and lifts. We produced a plethora of bleached, whitewashed, and wire brushed wood samples in a variety of wood species and finishes, emulating the colors, textures and feeling of the Atlantic ocean shore.
